Ball State’s Emens Auditorium Updates Orchestra Pit Lift

Ball State University’s Emens Auditorium has seen thousands of performances in its 50 plus years of existence. Over the course of the past few years, the orchestra pit has been vertically challenged as it was immobile due to needed repairs to its 50 year old equipment. Serapid and HP Legacy were hired to provide a new, state of the art orchestra pit lift and thus enabling the Emen’s audiences of the future to benefit from the once again mobile orchestra pit. Working in a cramped space below the existing orchestra floor, HP Legacy’s Justin Caffey and his team led the effort to remove the existing infrastructure and replace it with Serapid’s Rigid Chain Technology. With this improvement orchestras are once again playing in the mobile orchestra pit and delighting the audiences at Emens Auditorium
