In the summer of 2023, HP Legacy achieved a significant milestone with the completion of its second transformative project within the Krannert School of Management building on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus. Spearheaded by the leadership of Justin Caffey and Carry Summers, HP Legacy’s team orchestrated a seamless integration of innovative design and cutting-edge technology to enhance the facility’s functionality.
At the heart of this endeavor is the addition of a state-of-the-art, one-level testing room that serves as a focal point for academic advancements. Complementing this space are meticulously crafted ancillary areas, including a control room, sign-in room, conference room, and two offices, each meticulously designed to meet the evolving needs of the academic community.
The scope of the project extends beyond mere construction, encompassing a comprehensive approach to modernizing infrastructure. The mechanical systems underwent careful scrutiny and received minor upgrades to optimize efficiency. Simultaneously, the power and lighting systems were revamped to align with contemporary energy standards, ensuring sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
Recognizing the pivotal role of technology in today’s educational landscape, HP Legacy prioritized a significant overhaul of the facility’s technological infrastructure. This included the incorporation of cutting-edge advancements to elevate the learning experience, setting the stage for a technologically enriched academic environment.
In response to the growing demand for seamless communication and collaboration, audio and video systems were integrated seamlessly into the design. This not only caters to the immediate needs of the faculty and students but also positions the Krannert School of Management as a hub for technological innovation within the academic realm.
Architectural enhancements were a key focus, with new walls, doors, and finishes contributing to an aesthetically pleasing and functional space. The design, led by MSKTD’s Indianapolis office, reflects a meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that the new additions seamlessly integrate with the existing structure while exuding a contemporary and cohesive aesthetic.
The completion of this project signifies HP Legacy’s commitment to advancing educational spaces into the future. By blending functionality with aesthetics and embracing technological advancements, the Krannert School of Management building stands as a testament to the synergy between traditional academic values and the demands of the modern world. As students and faculty step into these revitalized spaces, they are greeted by an environment that fosters innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence, setting the stage for a new era in the educational landscape at Purdue University.
